Three Tips To Stop Procrastination

The cliché is very old, but how true it is and how alive it is today "Time waits for no one". If you leave what you were suppose to do today for tomorrow, you only made the task more tasky for the next day. Ask yourself; where would the world be today if everyone was like me? If you think hard work is hard, try laziness. Laziness seems easy, but it is actually the hardest, because it brings more work. You must realize that procrastination is harmful and affects the rate, pace and attitude with wish you do things. It works slowly and is one of the major causes of failure.
Here are three simple tips that will help you stop procrastinating and begin acting.
Take Action: Nothing works until you act on it. According to Walt Disney "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing". Instead of thinking of putting away that activity, why not start on it now. One of the reasons why people dare to act is the fear of failing. They keep postponing doing what they are supposed to do now. The truth is that; it is better to fail trying than not acting at all. One step at a time, little drop of water makes a mighty ocean. There has to be an action first before things can begin to take shape and form. Make that move now.

Avoid Negative People: Procrastination also stems from keeping company with negative minded, unsuccessful people. They always have a reason why a plan cannot work and they tend to be everywhere. They poke holes into your plans not because they are genuinely concerned; but because they have failed. They have reasons why you cannot succeed and will discourage you from taking any meaningful action step. The least you need are those who will talk you down. As long as you keep them with you; you will not be able to move ahead.

Decision Time: The time to quit talking and thinking of the consequences of failure is now. There is no hard and fast rule about starting. It defers from individual to individual base on what you want to do. Whatever way you start, go at it with the mind to succeed. Do not have the mentality that later would be the best time to do what you are suppose to do now. There is no better time, chance and opportunity to begin working than now. As you read this post, desire that your time to begin on whatever you have been afraid of or contemplating on is now.
